Passionate about Renovations
I’m a registered builder with over 15 years in the industry, and have a carpentry background in complex, designer-built homes. I genuinely enjoy my work and thrive on producing innovative ways to achieve what the client is aiming for. From curved walls to steep blocks, to year-long builds, I’ve attacked it all! I have always loved the design side of building and I think recreating a not-so-useful space into a well thought-out, useable space that will be enjoyed for years to come is really cool. I live on the beautiful Sunshine Coast, so I am big on taking advantage of house block orientation and creating seamless indoor/outdoor flow.
Over the course of my career, I have found the renovation industry to be lacking in a singular, broad service offering. Homeowners have plans drawn up, but the outcome they are expecting isn’t reflected in the plans. I’ve seen many poorly designed plans that are then left up to interpretation, resulting in the homeowner not getting what they expected because either the designer or builder hasn’t gotten the briefing right.
I have a young family and we are big on camping and beach life, as well as spending time with friends. I’m also partial to pretty much any outdoor activity, fishing, surfing, riding, you name it! But my passion lies in modifying cars. It’s another area where I enjoy focussing my attention to detail and appreciation of quality.
Why Renovare?
Joining the Renovare team “just made sense”. Their ideals, systems, processes and ongoing support provide a great foundation for my business, taking much of the bureaucracy out of the building process so that I can focus my energy where it’s best utilised.
This subsequently streamlines processes for the client, as well as creates a launchpad for me to execute ideas that I’ve been wanting to execute. The mateship and mentorship that comes with the extended Renovare team ensures an environment of learning, contributing to higher performing teams with quality work outputs.
